From the splendid town of Norcia, home of butchery and the birthplace of San Benedetto, we continue towards Forca di Ancarano, the pass between the Norcia basin and the Castoriana Valley, the cradle of Western monasticism. The gentle and welcoming valley is crisscrossed by countless roads and sheep tracks still used by local farmers with flocks of sheep. After passing the small village of Campi, continue towards the Abbey of Sant’Eutizio and then reach the meadows of the Colli dell’Acquaro, from where you continue northwards along the dirt road that enters the Visso Valley and descends until you return to the starting point of the ring.
